Vasily Belov is the executive director of the Energy Efficiency Cluster of Skolkovo Foundation since 2011. In May 2013 he was appointed as the Acting Senior Vice President for Development and Commercialization. Since 2009 he has been a member of the working group “Energy Efficiency” of the Committee under the President of the Russian Federation on Modernization and Technological Development of the Economy of Russia. In November 2009 Vasily Belov took control of the design office of the working group “Energy Efficiency” of the Committee on Modernization.
Before that, in 2006 Vasily Belov took the position of Director General in Fosbourne Home, one of first large credit brokers in the Russian market. In 2004 and 2006 he consulted McKinsey and specialized in strategic consulting projects in metallurgy and banking sector. Since 2002 he has headed the New Project Department in the Aluminum Division at RUSAL. Holding the post, he has participated in development of business strategy, initiated performance efficiency enhancement projects, and managed product development strategy. In 2001-2002 Vasily Belov worked for IBS.
In 2003 he Graduated with honors from Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics and received MBA degree in American Institute of Business and Economics (AIBEc). In 2004 he took a course in Executive Management & Leadership at Cambridge Business School.
