Chris Weeks is Director of Humanitarian Affairs for [DHL/DPWN](http://www.dp-dhl.com/de.html). He is responsible for the company's strategic partnership with the United Nations' Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in the field of Disaster Management. As part of this agreement DHL has set up 3 Disaster Response Teams manned entirely by employee volunteers in key locations worldwide. Their role is to support the UN system and the international community's logistics relief efforts following a major sudden-onset natural disaster. The teams have deployed to help handle and distribute aid after the Asian tsunami, Hurricane Katrina, the Kashmir and Peru earthquakes, Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar and most recently the Panama floods in December 2008. The initiative is entirely pro-bono and spearheads the company's CSR effort. Chris is British, based in Brussels and an economics graduate with 25 years experience in Express Logistics.
