Bernd Lintermann was born 1967 in Düsseldorf/Germany. He works as an artist and scientist in the field of real time computer graphics. The results of his work include et al. computer generated images, animations, interactive installations, digital multimedia stage design, and technical developments such as projection environments. He collaborated with internationally renowned artists such as Jeffrey Shaw, Bill Viola, Peter Weibel, The Wooster Group, and he is the co-founder of Greenworks, that continues to further develop his software “xfrog”, a procedural modeling and animation system for organic objects, which has been adopted in the production of films, such as “Avatar”' and “Alice in Wonderland.” Between 2005 and 2011 he was head of the ZKM | Institute for Visual Media. Since 2006 he is visiting Professor at the HfG State Academy of Design, Karlsruhe and since 2012 adjunct Professor at the School of Creative Media, City University, Hong Kong.
