Idit Harel Caperton

 Dr. Idit Harel Caperton is an Israeli-American entrepreneur and pioneer in using new-media technology for creative learning, innovation, and globalization. She founded World Wide Workshop in 2004 to ignite the entrepreneurial spirits of young people worldwide through innovative media technology for learning through design.  She invents social learning platforms to enrich formal and non-formal education systems that personalize learning opportunities for young people, especially in economically-disadvantaged communities.

Most recently, she launched Globaloria, a social learning network for youth to drive designing and programming educational games and simulations by moving an original idea to final product.  In 2002, Idit was honored by the Network of Educators in Science and Technology and MIT "for devotion, innovation, and imagination in science and technology on behalf of children and youth around the world."
