Yoel Flohr
Yoel is the Vice President Digital for the Shine Group and is in charge of the overall digital strategy including identifying business, partnership and investment opportunities as well as supporting the local production companies in their individual digital efforts.
Shine Group is a global production business with 26 companies across three continents, including award-winning UK-based specialists Dragonfly (factual), Kudos (drama), and Princess Productions (entertainment), multi-genre producers Shine TV, US producers Reveille, Metronome Film & Television in the Nordics and Shine France, Australia and Germany. Shine International, the group’s distribution arm distributes over 3000 hours of broadcast content annually. Shine Group has been acquired by NewsCorp in April 2011.
Focusing on multi-platform and direct to consumer propositions, Yoel led the successful acquisition of Bossa Studios, a social gaming studio, where he now serves as chairman of the board as well as Channelflip, a market-leading multi-platform online broadcaster and original content producer.
Prior to joining Shine he was the Global Head of Mobile for the social networking site Bebo.com, worked for T-Mobile International and a medical start-up in China and started a multi-media agency by the age of sixteen.
Yoel holds an MSc in Management from the
London School of Economics and a BA (HONS) in International Business
from the European Business School.
