Tobias Flaitz
Tobias Flaitz is Director of B2B Account Development at Hubert Burda Media in Munich, Germany. He joined Burda in January 2007 as Head of Strategic Business for Burda Digital Systems, a position he held until the end of 2009. Tobias created the Technology Enables Success (TES) symposium in 2009 as part of the annual DLD conference.
In his current role, Tobias works across profit centers to promote collaboration with Burda's B2B clients using a mix of strategy and business development. He reports directly to the chief executive officer of Burda.´Before joining Burda, Tobias worked as a strategic business consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton and Accenture. As a consultant, Tobias gained international experience in Europe, the USA and the Middle East, and gathered valuable methodical capabilities from different industries and competencies. He was a founding member of the advisory board to the Managing Director of Accenture for Austria, Switzerland and Germany in 2001.
Tobias holds two masters degrees, an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart and an MBA from the University of St. Gallen (HSG), Switzerland. While at HSG, his team won a venture capital competition for a mobile community media venture. Tobias has studied abroad at the Universities of Berkeley, Michigan and Sevilla.
