Thomas Schreiber

Thomas Schreiber is the founder and CEO of Munich, Germany, based SecureNet GmbH und Co-Leader of the German chapter of the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP). After his studies of Computer Science at the Technical University of Braunschweig, he started his career at Siemens Research & Development where he focused on object-oriented software development. In 1998, he founded his own software company.

Over the past years, Thomas Schreiber has tested hundreds of web applications for security vulnerabilities. He advises large companies on the introduction of Web Application Security into the software development lifecycle and the release process. He is author of the "Best Practices Guide for Secure Web Applications" of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and trainer for various topics in the Application Security field.

OWASP is an open community and recognized as the global leader in the field of Web Application Security. Its mission is to make application security visible, so that people and organizations can make informed decisions about true application security risks.
