René Schuster

René Schuster was appointed CEO of Telefónica O2 Germany GmbH & Co. OHG in June 2009.

Prior to this, he assumed leading roles in the telecommunications and IT industry for many years. Schuster started his career in the middle of the eighties as development engineer at Robert Bosch GmbH. René Schuster was subsequently responsible for the European and Middle Eastern consulting business of KPMG as one of the partners.

Following leading positions at Compaq and Hewlett Packard Schuster was appointed Global Marketing Director Vodafone in 2004. Schuster was born in New York in 1961, is married and has two children.
