Maks Giordano

Maks Giordano is the co-founder and managing partner of Nunatak, a highly specialized consultancy for the digital age.

He has been active in the digital arena since the early nineties. As a director with I-D Media, he helped grow the company from 25 to over 500 employees and established international offices. As a digital strategist, he helped Clients, such as Sony-Europe, Wallpaper, Swatch, Bertelsmann and Deutsche Telekom to create innovative digital services. Maks also played a very vital part in the creation of "cycosmos", Germany’s leading social network in the 90ies. In 2000 he became a member of the management board of MetaDesign, one of Europe´s leading CI/CD Agencies. He was responsible for the digital unit and became heavily involved in cross-media and mobile concept development. In 2003 Maks co-founded one of the first cross-media service agencies in Europe and established the company as a leading partner to international Telecommunication Operators, Media Houses and Consumer Brands for the creation and deployment of mobile services and - portals. Besides the mobile agency work, one of the first Mobile ADservers worldwide was deployed to customers, like MSN and o2. The company became part of WPP, the World´s Largest Network of Agencies in 2007.

Before founding Nunatak in 2011, Maks worked for KYTE, the mobile, online and social video platform, as their managing director for Europe and was a member of the management board of the multimedia unit of the ProSiebenSat1 Network, a pan-European media house in 12 countries. He was responsible for the mobile- and games- unit and in charge of innovation overall.

Maks holds an MBA in Media & Communication from the University of St. Gallen, taught Mobile Business and Innovation Management at the Universities of Applied Sciences in Berlin and in Dornbirn/Austria, published books about mobile business and usability and was a judge to the "One Show New York", the “Lovies Awards” and the "Webbys" Awards.

He mainly lives on Seat 9D on Lufthansa Flights.
