In a campaign ad for the Democratic Presidential nominee, Barack Obama told American voters that John McCain is a poor choice for the highest office in the US because he "doesn't know how to use a computer" and "can't send an email." Obama is the first President of the Internet generation, just as J. F. Kennedy was the first TV-President. The Internet has proved one of the key tools to Obama´s success: his campaign detected and used the web like no candidate did before. Media historically the US election 2008 has been a watershed.
Media consumption increases and gets more and more important in our everday life - surveys show that the web meanwhile has become the most important information medium.
