150 women who shake the world
This week Newsweek and The Daily Beast identified and honored 150 of those “Extraordinary Women" who shake up the media, fight for women's rights, deal with health issues or empower women in leadership and economies.
Gabi Zedlmayer, vice president of HP's Office of Global Social Innovation, was selected and recognized by this exceptional list for her dedication in maximizing results from the philanthropic efforts of HP, the world's largest technology company. Gabi and HP are among the founding friends of the DLD conference. During the last seven years of close alliance, we've always followed Gabi's work to tackle critical social issues in education and health through strategic collaborations with non-profits and social entrepreneurs to serve developing communities around the world. She really deserves this great honor for all the outstanding personal effort and heart work she has put into her projects! Congratulations from the DLD team!
The list of these 150 fantastic couragous women has been created for the second annual "Women in the World Summit", which took place 10-12 March 2011 in New York. Among others, there are more great DLD Friends to find on this list such as space traveler Anousheh Ansari, philantrophist Abigail Disney and architect Zaha Hadid.
