Le Web '08
Yesterday European internet conference LeWeb started in Le104, Paris for two days full of panels, discussions and networking. Organized by our dear friends Loic and Geraldine Le Meur, more than 1,800 guests signed up for this 5th edition to hear a range of high profile speakers and amazing personalities. LeWeb has shifted even more from a tech conference to an event touching on more wide-reaching topics. Says Loic: "As the Internet has become even more about our lives and not just technology, so will this year's LeWeb touch on a deeper array of topics."
LeWeb '08 has hundreds of startups presenting and a great line up of speakers including TED's Chris Anderson, News Corp. social-networking site MySpace's Amit Kapur, Marissa Mayer of Google, Linda Avey of 23andMe, LinkedIn's Reid Hoffman, author Paulo Coelho, and Dan'l Lewin of Microsoft. Among the guests furthermore European execs like France Telecom Orange Chairman and CEO Didier Lombard, and Jacques-Antoine Granjon, CEO and co-founder of fashion sale site Vente-Privee.com.
