Wired's secret

Author: Lukas Kubina

Since last autumn, Wired magazine has been studying how fresh thinking has been transforming businesses for the better. They tapped into an awesome pool of knowledge, consulting CEOs and startups, experts at Harvard Business School and the LSE, venture capitalists and business authors, network hubs such as Nesta and Seedcamp, conference organisers, and management consultants. In the category 'From the editor', David Rowan shares a little secret in the current print edition: "Many of the wired stories that most excite us - this month's feature about mapping geniuses Stamen, for instance - first come to our attention at conferences such as TED and DLD. These first-rate events are the ultimate way to engage first-hand with the people shaping the future."

To enhance the knowledge source and improve the learning effects for the reader, the magazine plans to build a comprehensive guide at wired.co.uk to all the conferences. Or how David puts it: "We hope, it will inspire you to rethink your own approach to how you work. Because who can risk relying on the old rules?"
