HULU CEO Jason Kilar interview

Author: Marvin Barnie

DLD-friend, -speaker and HULU CEO Jason Kilar recently gave an interview to Holger Schmidt where he spoke about the generation issue that regular TV is facing.

The general audience that is watching TV is getting older because the younger generation is preferably online or in the best case scenario only watching half-minded. Kilar says that their platform is growing remarkably fast and intense. Not only the amount of distributed movies per month has almost tripled (350 million in 2009 to 900 million now) but also the number of advertisers (130 to 420).

HULU is also talking with German TV Networks and content providers for a possible cooperation.
