Ulrike Zeitlinger

Ulrike Zeitlinger is editorial director and editor-in-chief of freundin and freundin wellfit. She started her career in journalism at the age of 19 as junior editor at Esquire magazine, Playboy (where she was one of only very few women), joined freundin magazine for the first time in 1993 as senior editor before she took over the same position at Bunte magazine in 1997. It was only two years later that she became Germany's youngest editor-in-chief at Mädchen magazine, followed by a position as editor-in-chief at Cosmopolitan and Shape. Her latest projects as editorial director were the relaunch of the prestigious burda moden, now burda style,and the development of Donna, a line extension of freundin. In addition, she contributed her huge expertise in magazine-making to Alley Cat and Eazy. Austrian by birth, Ulrike lives in Munich with her son Ben, 5.
