DLDwomen was being held for the first time in June 2010 in Munich.
 
The event which focuses on female markets was a two days conference experience bringing together an extraordinary group of over 70 international high profile speakers and 500 opinion-forming participants, both women and men, from the fields of digital, business, design, media, society, health, politics and science. 
 
DLDwomen as a conference platform sheds light on the "Female Decade" and its "womenomics" and puts focus on future developments in technology, digitization, markets and society. DLDwomen explores the influence of media and the extensive flow of data and information on the role of women in our society.

The DLDwomen experience is concepted and executed by DLD Media and builds on the extensive creative network and competence of the successful annual DLD Conference. Founders and Directors of DLDwomen are Steffi Czerny and Marcel Reichart, who also founded the DLD brand as a global community for digital innovation and beyond in 2005. DLD serves as a platform for progression in times of transition for global thinkers, CEO's, futurists, entrepreneurs, investors, scientists, opinion formers and creative talents.

DLDwomen is chaired by Dr. Maria Furtwängler, a physician and renowned German actress. Under her chairmanship the conference tries to create a new image of women in our society and raise awareness for many still cliché-covered stereotypes.

The conference is a unique hub to exchange experiences on all major leadership, health and economic issues and offers the chance to benefit from a unique platform to lead discussions, announce projects and get new business ideas and extend the network.
