DLD global connected the unexpected and built a bridge to Beijing. The DLD Global Reception took place within the 798 Art District at famous UCCA in Beijing on Sunday, 12 September 2010.

Thanks to all the DLD Global ambassadors for their support and commitment. With their help 300 innovators in digital markets, investors, political and thought leaders as well as creative minds from art and design participated and enjoyed the reception.

DLD Reception host Marcel Reichart and Oscar4B Founder Orly Shani inaugurated the gathering by presenting the DLD conference, its aims, topics and speakers through a DLD Best of the last 5 years movie. The entire event was lifted by the great spirit of the DLD global community and the discussion roundtable on "China - the new innovation superpower and how to bridge it to other regions" sparked a lively discussion.
Panelist were Feng Jun (President, Aigo), Gregor Vogelsang (Partner, Booz and Company), Lifen Wang (Founder & CEO, umiwidi.com), Silvana Koch-Mehrin (Vice-President, European Parliament), Saul Singer (author, the "start-up nation), Sharon Kedmi (Ministry of Trade Israel) and Kal Patel (Managing Director, Best Buy Asia).

The session was moderated by Thomas Crampton (Ogilvy Asia) who discussed questions about the creativity in Chinese companies, what can EU learn from China and vice versa and asked for an advice to foreigners coming to China. The reception was topped by a closing speech of Mr Binyamin Ben Eliezer, Israeli Minister of Industry, Trade & Labour.
