Innovation in mobility made in Bavaria.
Before Hildegard Wortmann (BMW) comes on stage a short presentation introduces the sporty looking electric BMW i. Then Hildegard Wortmann (BMW) shares with the audience how this latest innovation from BMW came about. She worked with with engineers and creatives on new concepts for BMW. “I have one of the coolest jobs in the world” Hildegard Wortmann (BMW), said “even though the industry is very conservative”. That’s what made it so exciting to work on the BMW i for which a start-up within BMW was founded in 2007. She describes it as a highly creative area with a cross cultural team working outside of BMW restrictions but inside the supportive structures. The concept for BORN ELECTRIC was born in this environment and created an impressive size of a new interest group for BMW customers.
Before the presentation moves on to a discussion level with Deborah Ball (WSJ), Hildegard Wortmann (BMW) wraps up with the second part to the video presentation. It shows atmospheric images, the BMW i in a moon like landscape while an enigmatic blonde woman recites a poetry about the electric revolution in mobility.
