Dimitar D. Sasselov
In 1988 Mr. Sasselov aquired his PhD in Physics, in Sofia, being followed 1990 by his PhD in Astronomy from the University of Toronto. 1999 Sasselov became an Alfred P Sloan Fellow. Currently he is also a Senior Advisor for the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study in Harvard.
His research explores modes of interaction between light and matter. Recently he and his team discovered several planets orbiting other stars with novel techniques he hopes to use to find planets like Earth.
