Theodor Weimer

Theodor Weimer

Since 2009 Dr. Theodor Weimer (48) has been the designated board spokesman of Bayerische Hypo- und Vereinsbank AG, and since 2008 a member of the Management Committee as the Country Chairman for UniCredit Group in Germany. He is also the Executive Chairman of Global Investment Banking. Prior to this, Weimer worked in Markets & Investment Banking Division at UniCredit Group and as Head of Global Investment Banking. Earlier he held positions at Goldman Sachs 2001-2007.

With his immense experience, both in the field of advisory services and banking operations, Theodor Weimer drives HypoVereinsbank forward on its growth course on a sustained basis. Weimer graduated in economics, business administration and geography at the University of Tübingen in Germany, and at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. He later earned his doctorate in political Science from the University of Bonn, Germany.
