Stefan Oschmann

After obtaining a Ph.D. at the Technical University of Munich, Stefan Oschmann worked for the International Atomic Energy Agency and the FAO/IAEA. In 1989 he joined Merck & Co. Inc. (MSD), where he was employed in various positions in Belgium, Holland and Austria. From 1994 to 1999 he was Managing Director of MSD Austria and in 1998 was appointed Vice President, Central und Eastern Europe of MSD. From 1999 to 2005 he was Vice President of MSD Europe and Managing Director of MSD Germany and from 2005 to 2006 Senior Vice President, Worldwide Human Health Marketing. In 2006 he was appointed President, Europe, Middle East, Africa & Canada, and since 2009 Stefan heads the new MSD Emerging Markets organization, which includes Asia Pacific, Eastern Europe/Middle East/Africa and Latin America.
