Patricia Szarvas

Patricia Szarvas is a financial journalist currently based in Frankfurt, Germany working as the main anchor of CNBC Europe. She reports daily from the German stock exchange and financial markets for the international studios of the CNBC network and the German television station N24.

Szarvas was born 1970 in Vienna. After studying Economics and Communications she worked as a broker, private banker and portfolio manager in Frankfurt, London and Luxembourg and was registered stock broker at the London Stock Exchange. She speaks five languages, German, English, French, Italian and Slovak.

From 1989 to 1999 she headed the stock exchange news department at the Italian public service broadcaster RAI. 1999 she joined CNBC where she became in London the co-anchor of the television business news programmes Morning Exchange and Power Lunch Europe. She contributes to CNBC programmes like Capital Connection, Worldwide Exchange and Squawk Box Europe and is as an expert responsible for reports on the car industry in the European CNBC network.

Szarvas also moderates discussion forums at international conferences including the World Economic Forum, the European Economic Summit, the Corporate Responsibility Conference and the International Management & Consulting Congress.
