Carolyn McCall

Carolyn McCall is Chief Executive of Guardian Media Group plc, which comprises: Guardian News & Media: the Guardian and Observer newspapers and the guardian.co.uk website. GMG Regional Media: the Manchester Evening News and its website. GMG Radio: a number of regional radio stations across the UK under the Real Radio, Smooth Radio, Century Radio and Rock Radio brands. GMG Property Services: Vebra, Core and CFP, providers of software to estate agents. Trader Media Group: one of Europe's largest specialist print and online media companies, Emap: the B2B publishing, events and information business.

Since 2008 Carolyn is non-executive director of Lloyds TSB and was a non-executive director of Tesco Plc (2005-2008), and of New Look plc (1999-2005). She is Chair of Opportunity Now, the UK's leading membership organization for gender equality and diversity at work, and a former President of Women in Advertising and Communications London. Carolyn was awarded the OBE for services to women in business in the Queen's Birthday Honours List in 2008. In April 2008 she was named Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year. She graduated from Kent University with a BA in History and Politics, and from London University with a Masters in Politics.
