Tyler Brulé on the most liveable cities
Author: Marcel Reichart
Last weekend, I listened to Tyler Brulé talk about what makes cities attractive. Tyler Brulé is the man who founded Wallpaper, a global style bible, in the 1990s. Last year, he launched Monocle, "a briefing on global affairs, business, culture & design" as the subtitle reads. Monocle is a magazine for global people and features a truly unique, almost crafted approach in its images, mangas and issues covered.
Brulé has recently published his second ranking of the world's most livable cities in Monocle. Copenhagen tops the list, followed by last year's number one, Munich. In his talk, which was given with regard to the Olympic Games 2012 hosted in London, he mentioned the familiar soft factors such as tolerance and cultural life, but added some hard facts, a combination he called "everyday wonder".
