SELLABAND ENTERS USA

A financial support by Prime Technology Ventures shall enable SellaBand, a german company with domicile in the Netherlands, to expand to the US market. Founded in 2006 the company already opened an office in New York. Since last year SellaBand already cooperates with Amazon UK. DLD-speaker Pim Betist and the co-founders Dagmar Heijmans and Johan Vosmeijer created a new way to support young music-bands.

With SellaBand talents can present their music to the internet-community. If 5.000 users support a band and spend 10 US-dollars each, musicians get their own album recorded in a professional studio. The users therefore get a CD and a share of the advertising revenue of the website. 18 artists from 11 countries already made their dream come true, users spent about 2 million US-dollars in total.
