David Silverman
Author: Stephan Salat
David Silverman is an animator best known for directing numerous episodes of the animated TV series The Simpsons.
David is largely credited with creating most of the "rules" for drawing The Simpsons. Having started with The Simpsons (in 1987) as one of two animators on "The Tracey Ullman Show," David has recently finished directed "The Simpsons Movie," released this summer 2007.
David has also worked as co-director on Pixar's "Monsters. Inc.," and as story editor on "Ice Age."
For reasons that confound his parents, he plays the tuba. This strange desire has been further acted on by his developement of The Flaming Tuba, pictures above. He performs this mostly at Burning Man, and at venues with no ceilings.
