Wikia got Chip Award

CHIP, the magazine for the digital world, awarded Jimmy Wales. At CeBIT, the world's largest computer expo, one of six CHIP Awards was given to Wikia Search, founded by the father of Wikipedia. At DLD08, Jimmy Wales and Jason Calacanis from Mahalo were already explaining the advantages of non-algorithmic search engines.

Last.FM (online music service)
Tomtom HD Traffic (GPS)
Casio Exilim Pro Ex-F1 (digital camera)
Apple Time Machine + Time Capsule (data storage)
Asus Eee PC (notebook)
The CHIP Green Award went to Fujitsu Siemens Computers - Green PC

CHIP has 1.55 million readers each month. In addition CHIP appears in 16 countries in Asia and Europe. The CHIP Awards exist since 1993.
