It all began with DLD - Hubert Burda Media invests in Glam Media

DLD connects. DLD enables networking and initiates business. One more example for that was now given by Dr. Marcel Reichart, managing director of Research and Development, Marketing and Communications at Hubert Burda Media. The founder and CEO of Glam Media, Samir Arora, was invited to DLD08 in Munich by Marcel Reichart, who together with Stephanie Czerny founded the DLD conference. A few weeks afterwards Hubert Burda Media now announced its investment in Glam Media, the world's number one in reach for women online.

With 44 million global unique monthly visitors (comScore MediaMetrix), Glam Media provides a compelling mix of fresh, original content created in-house with a carefully curated Glam Publishing Network of more than 450 popular and influential lifestyle websites, blogs and magazines. "Glam Media is well positioned to enable global brand advertisers via their distributed media network model," said Marcel Reichart. And Samir Arora adds: "Glam Media is ideally situated as an influential player in the emerging global digital media landscape." Christiane zu Salm, who joins the executive management board of Hubert Burda Media in April 2008, will join the Glam Media Board of Directors as an observer. Marcel Reichart will oversee the relationship between Burda and Glam.
