Bart Becks

Bart Becks is Senior Vice President New Media at SBS Broadcasting Group Europe, in charge of managing the digital media initiatives over the web, interactive television, mobile devices and other emerging platforms. SBS Broadcasting is a leading European media group, with activities spanning from commercial TV, Pay TV, radio, print and digital media in Scandinavia, the Benelux countries, Central and Eastern Europe

Previously Mr. Becks was CEO at Belgacom Skynet, of which the last 4 years as CEO. He was in charge of managing the digital media services such as portals, search, mobile and TV for the Belgacom group, and he was member of the Belgacom Fixed Line management committee. He also served as President and CEO of Skynet iMotion Activities, in charge of producing and broadcasting Belgian football, video-on-demand and other interactive tv services for BelgacomTV, Belgium's premier IPTV platform. Prior to joining Skynet, he held senior management positions at in Belgium and France at FNAC.

Bart Becks is member of the Board of the IAB Belgium (Interactive Advertising Bureau) since 2003, where manages international relations and was elected Vice President in 2005. He also leads the IAB Europe Committee on Interactive Digital Television since 2006. Mr Becks studied Commercial Engineering and graduated with honors his MBA. He also followed executive studies at Columbia University in New York and Harvard Business School, and studied classical music history. In 2006, Cable and Satellite Media recognized him as one of the Euro50 media leaders.
