Etsy, the peer-to-peer e-commerce company for handmade items, is currently rolling out a major upgrade to their service. It is amazing what Etsy has achieved in just over one year. When we met with the founders Rob and Matt at our offices in summer, they shared some of their vision and insights in the arts and crafts market and got us terribly excited.

It's quite fascinating to see all the wonderful things created and sold on the Etsy platform or watch the community engage on other platforms across the net (Etsy Love @ Flickr, Etsy friends @ MySpace, etc.) Not by coincidence Etsy has started collaborating with a new magazine called Craft launched recently by O'Reilly Media. Soon we will be able to lift the veil on our project developed jointly with the Etsy team so stay tuned or join us at DLD in January where you'll get a chance to meet with Etsy.
