Video Blog Characters to Become TV Stars

As Axe (body deodorant) just announced the adventures of Evan and Gareth, stars of an online video blog made to promote Unilever’s Axe body deodorant, are the basis for a possible branded entertainment TV show.
Axe has been solicited to have its brand integrated into the story line for a pilot.
The Evan and Gareth campaign, which starred two actors who traveled across the country and blogged about their attempts to seduce women, generated 10 million viewers. The effort helped Unilever win Clio’s Advertiser of the Year award in 2006.
